The 3 day Retreat for Senators at the Simunye Country Club is Officially Opened

A three day Retreat for Senators kick started on a very high note at the Simunye Country Club on April 21, 2021 sponsored by UNAIDS with the theme "Sustenance of Parliamentary HIV/AIDS Intervention In The Face of COVID 19".

In her welcoming remarks, Senate President, Senator Lindiwe Dlamini said it was crucial for Senators to continue fulfilling their mandate to Emaswati in spite of the devastating impact caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. Click here to view the speech by The Senate President

Mrs. Rose Kimeu Craigue who is Country Director UNAIDS emphasised the Kingdom of Eswatini has come a long way in the fight against HIV/AIDS and we have made great inroads. The first day panellists included Principal Secretaries from Government Ministries such as, PS Lindiwe Mbingo (Cabinet); PS Sizakele Dlamini (Ministry of Finance); PS Mr. Bheki Bhembe Ministry of Economic Planning; and PS Ministry of Agriculture Mr Bongani Masuku. NERCHA was represented by its National Executive Director Mr. Khanya Mabuza, whilst UNDP was represented by Economic Advisor Mr. Juan Carlos Vilanova. National Director of AMICAAL Ms. Sibongile Ndlela and CANGO Director Mr. Emanuel Ndlangamandla were also present.
